I’m packed. Nervous. Excited. Worried. I leave on my Deep Creek Lake book tour in half an hour.

There are books and books and books, plus signs, business cards, and posters of INN BY THE LAKE.

Taking my book back to the place that inspired it is just about the most exciting development I could imagine.

Friday, June 18, 1-3 p.m. SWALLOW FALLS STATE PARK. In addition to my books, I’m bringing well-loved books by other local authors to share. All authors need the love.

Saturday, June 19, 11 a.m. RUTH ENLOW LIBRARY, Oakland, Md. I’ve prepared a talk about how Deep Creek Lake inspired this story as well as my writing process for this, my first modern love story.

Also Saturday, 1-3 p.m. DEEP CREEK LAVENDER FARM. I’ll sign books and be happy to talk about my book and all the great places to visit in Western Maryland. I’ll bring my author friends’ books, too. The owners of this beautiful place are my hosts for the weekend. I think it could be a gorgeous backdrop for another book. We’ll see.
