It felt all wrong this past weekend. when I didn’t go to the Baltimore Book Festival. I go every year, without fail. Since I published DIVIDED LOYALTIES in 2017, I’ve even brought my books and spoken on panels in the Maryland Romance Writers tent. But this year, things are different.

The Baltimore Office of Promotions and the Arts is combining the Baltimore Book Festival with its extremely popular—and wonderful—Light City Baltimore. It’s dubbed Brilliant Baltimore so what else could it be but bright and shiny from morning through the nighttime.
The Baltimore Book Festival will be held November 1-3 all around the Inner Harbor. The Maryland Romance Writers, who will have space in the Columbus Center rather than a tent this year, have all kinds of great writers coming to talk about everything from kissing scenes to real people who appear in their stories. I do hope everyone will come and hear us and maybe even buy a book.

I’m bringing both of my books, including my new Christmas novella LOVE LETTERS & GINGERBREAD, and I’m speaking on a panel each of the three days. It’s going to be so much fun.

But what will make it better are the nights from Nov. 1-10 when artists will light up their dazzling and creative displays along the harbor. If you haven’t seen Light City, make this the year you come downtown. It’s gorgeous.
Or as the organizers like to say “Brilliant!”
