I’m looking forward to speaking at the Rising Sun Inn Saturday, April 13 at 1 p.m.
I’ll be talking about the real life inspiration behind the characters of DIVIDED LOYALTIES, Maureen and Eliza, Joe and Patrick.
I also intend to reveal a few details about two other characters in that novel, Angela and Patricia. The warm-hearted sisters who volunteered alongside Maureen and Eliza take center stage in LOVE LETTERS & GINGERBREAD, my new novella set in Annapolis just before Christmas in 1831.
They are just girls in the new book, who with their mother are mourning their newly deceased father. Patsy is in love though Angela is resigned to spending her life as her mother’s companion. Ah, but love blooms in this Jane Austen-inspired story.
The first talk in the series was held last weekend and featured author Elissa Brent Weissman, who writes children’s books including the marvelous THE LENGTH OF A STRING.
Read all about it in the Capital Gazette.
And come see me April 13. Should be lots of fun.
