This week’s word is TEST. My quote comes from INN BY THE LAKE, published in e-book in December by Champagne Books. The paperback will be released in February.

DeWayne saved their lives. Maybe not literally, but if he hadn’t come into their family, who knows what might have happened to the grief-stricken French chef and his lost little boy. DeWayne and Henri became friends after meeting on the subway, and from there developed a devotion that stood the test of time. Together they decided to make a life far from New York.

DeWayne and Henri are the stepfather and father of my book’s main character Luke. Together, they run the Inn by Deep Creek Lake in Western Maryland. Usually a well-suited pair, they are at odds over the inn’s future.
