Really a novella, Love Letters relates the love stories of two Annapolis sisters (who later are nurses at Antietam). The Rising Sun Inn is located at 1090 Generals Highway in Crownsville (near Annapolis). After tea, I’ll introduce my book with its pretty new cover, answer questions and enjoy the colonial atmosphere of this convivial historic inn. Hope you’ll join me.
I pushed open the Sundial bookstore door and slipped inside.
from FEARLESS SUMMER
The store’s owner glanced over the reading glasses perched on
her nose. “Morning, Henry. What brings you here?”
I scanned the shop. I couldn’t quite say I was searching for a safe
place to hide and calm my raging nerves. “Hi, Susan. I need a book for Mom.
She likes those beach romance books. Got anything new?”
Taking off her glasses, she nodded and came around the counter.
“I’ve got just the thing. It’s set right here, a second-chance romance.”
